Bateaux London

Order yourself a latte, and a pastry (The virtual cinnamon buns are excellent today). And have a nice chat.

And apologies if I have asked this before. Has anyone done any of these?

My kids bought me a Premier Lunch Trip for 2 for my birthday. It won't suit OH for various reasons but I'm wondering how flexible the menu is as they don't seem to give a choice. That may just be the marketing of course but my best friend has serious allergies and I can't do goat cheese.

Fighting through the small print on the web site, under restaurant FAQs

Do you cater for guests with special dietary requirements?
Our chef is more than happy to accommodate guests with special dietary requirements with at least five (5) days notice. Please complete the dietary requirements section at the checkout stage of your booking should you have any allergies
.

As obviously someone has checked out already, I think you will have to call them to specify dietary requirements

No idea, but they do say this in their blurb so it would be worth contacting them and stressing that your friend cannot afford to be subjected to any food contamination, galley kitchen or not. That should scare them enough to be honest!

"All dietary requirements can be catered for provided the information is given in advance. Any information regarding potential food allergens can be provided on request. Some meat products are suitable for Halal requirements".

So I'm not your best friend then - I eat almost anything (except Swiss Chard ! ) ;) (only joking  ) .... Or I could go instead of you ;)

Lovely trip, well prepped and cooked food. Service excellent. The weather really added to it.

Smoked salmon with beetroot infused quails eggs. Poached chicken in something with roasted root veg. Blackberry and apple crumble tarts. A whole bottle of red wine because my chum wasn’t drinking. :o

Haven’t surfaced for long and had to miss tonight’s photography class . . .
